The Shippensburg University Marching Band has built a legacy of excellence serving as SU’s centerpiece of school spirit and pride for 100 years. Throughout the Ship community, our student-led organization carries a reputation that is tough to match. As long-time supporter Bill Dean says, we’re the “best band in the land” and are proud to represent Ship at home and away football games, exhibition performances, and recent premier performances in the Czech Republic, Italy & Ireland. 

As you can imagine, there are significant costs each year associated with the operation of the SUMB. From increased travel opportunities, meal offerings, and equipment and uniform costs, we often require additional funding to do more for our community and beyond.

To help us continue these efforts, the SUMB will again be holding a fundraiser SUMB Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Eagles Crossings Golf Course in Carlisle, PA.
